Motorcycle sales during May 2009 increased 18.6 percent to 457,650 units compared to April 2009 were 385,831 units, so the data from the Association of Industrial Safety Indonesia (AISI), on Monday.
Of these Honda motorcycle sales are still dominated by the number of 208,266 units, followed by Yamaha 206,992 units, 36,074 units of Suzuki, Kawasaki 6,000 units and 318 other units. Honda dominate the national market share of 46 percent and 45.2 percent of Yamaha.
Total motorcycle sales during the first 5 months in 2009 reached 2,061,685 units, or 33.2 percent of new motorcycle sales throughout 2008 reaching 6,215,865 units
