South Korean car manufacturer Kia Motors, said Monday, will start operating again in the full two-shift factory in Slovakia to respond to increasing demand for the European market.

"The company will start operating again two full eight hour shifts starting July 13 because of increasing demand in several European markets and plans to launch a new model car," said Kia spokesman, Dusan Dvorak to AFP.

Kia reduce production manufacturer in the near Zilina, northern Slovakia, into two shifts of six hours earlier this year due to low demand in the midst of global economic crisis.

Kia, which launched production in Slovakia in 2006dan employs 2700 people, producing 201,000 cars last year.

The Company estimates production in 2009 reached 170,000 units.

Slovak car production at the factory which runs Germany Volkswagen, PSA Peugeot Citroen and Kia Motors France South Korea, down 51.6 percent in April, down 30.9 percent after the March due to low demand in the midst of global economic decline.
