BUSINESS INFORMATION - A conflict has emerged between the antivirus vendor Sophos and Microsoft related to the patch and the difficulty of the management mode in Windows XP 7. Windows 7 XP technology that mode is used to simplify the way regular application in XP to run virtually on Windows 7. However, conflicts arise from Richard Jacobs, CTO of Sophos, which reveals that the offer from Microsoft that will indeed be compatible with many applications, but is not laden with security.

By providing easy migration path from XP to Windows 7, and through Vista, Microsoft has made security a major disaster, added Jacobs. XP is a tool independent mode of Windows, which can be used to share the old folders and devices on your computer by installing Windows 7. One of the things that are not shared is the processor and memory, so it also not to share security settings, security software, patches and so on, not even a 'heritage' security settings from a host of new systems.

When the user uses the XP mode, the user needs to do to patch copy of Windows XP 7. Users need to adjust settings separately, including the configuration of two personal firewalls and install two copies of anti-malware software. Jacobs added that the problem will get worse when the user does not know how to manage these virtual XP mode on the desktop and in the absence of tools that manage the process from Microsoft.

While different response launched by the Microsoft security adviser, Roger Halbheer, which revealed that the XP mode serves as a temporary engine that allows consumers to enjoy the benefits of better security than Windows 7, and enjoy application compatibility in XP.
