BUSINESS INFORMATION - General Motors will hold the board of directors meeting on Friday, to discuss the sale of its Opel unit in Europe, a GM eksekuti told AFP, on Thursday.

Executive, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the directors will make the negotiations in a conference remotely.

GM, which emerged from bankruptcy protection months ago and is now majority owned by sahamnya United States government, under pressure from Germany to select the bid takeovers of Canadian automotive parts manufacturer, Magna, supported by a Russian state-owned bank.

However, the board of the U.S. automotive giant is believed many more like a quote from RHJ International investment group based in Brussels because the automobile manufacturer is confident his side may be able to buy back in time from RHJ better.
