BUSINESS INFORMATION - Toyota Motor of Japan announced on Monday that they make the withdrawal of China's biggest car for about 688,000 sedans due to a defect in the electric window system.
Withdrawal of car models include the Camry sedan, Yaris, Corolla and Vios - produced in China through two joint ventures between May 2006 and December 2008, said Toyota spokesman.
Excessive lubricant oil used in the electronic control system may interfere with opening and closing the window or a short circuit currents, he said.
No accidents were reported due to the flaw, he added.
Toyota has taken over as General Motors in 2008 as the company's largest seller of automotive manufacturers, but was forced to reduce their workers for trying to recover from the annual loss to March 2009.
