BUSINESS INFORMATION - Department of Population Ecology University of Vienna, Austria in collaboration with the Department of Plant Protection Faculty of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) conduct joint research on biodiversity Indonesia.

The study took place at Krakatoa, Ujung Kulon, and Mountain Mist, said Head of Research Unit of Integrated Pest Management of Agricultural Fakulatan Sakti Idham Harahap IPB in Bogor, Sunday.

For the year 2009 is this the studied species of birds and butterflies which will then be compared with the other animals, but different locations, namely between the disturbed forests, tourist areas, and natural forests.

In the study used the software (software) can do for biodiversity analysis quickly without having to take a large sample.

According Idham Sakti, for this study included students of IPB six students, while the Department of Population Ecology University of Vienna 10 people.

He added that cooperation was already in its fourth year, and usually students of IPB to include 10 people. However, because the lectures and lab activities, this year could only include six people.

Four students from the IPB were from the Department of Plant Protection, Department of Biology FMIPA from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Faculty of Forestry (Fahutan).

All the research cooperation program has been reported to result in the seminar with the theme "Training Course in Tropical Ecology and Biodeversity Rapid Assessment" Ujung Kulon and Mountain Mist, the IPB on August 12, 2009.
