BUSINESS INFORMATION - Government guarantees the basic electricity tariff (TDL) is not an increase in 2010. The government will cover the entire cost of lack of production of PT PLN (Persero) with the subsidy.
Director General of Electricity and Energy Utilization Department ESDM A Purwono in Jakarta on Friday, said, the allocation of electricity subsidy size is around Rp40, 43 trillion, is not consider the rate increase in the next year.
The Government, he added, also does not plan expansion nonsubsidi rates now apply to the household customers with the power up to 6600 VA.
PLN has nonsubsidi rates for customers up to 6600 VA since 2008 as an effort to press the budget subsidy.
With nonsubsidi rate, the subscribers to the 6600 VA will apply the basic electricity tariff is higher than the other household.
Proposed Budget 2010 according to the government submitted to parliament, the allocation of electricity subsidy size is around Rp40, 433 trillion.
Assumption subsidy is lower than the 2009 Proposed Budget Changes set of Rp48, 16 trillion.
