Facebook in the Organization of Islamic Indonesia.

Islamic organization in Indonesia, issued a law on the illicit network site Facebook, according to Nabil Haroen, spokesperson for Islamic organizations, as many as 700 people or priests in Indonesia, agreed to a draft rule to surf the web after receiving complaint about Facebook and other sites, including those related with sex or commit adultery.

According to Nabil, they decided that "Facebook is unlawful or prohibited if bergosip and used to spread the lie, or if it is used for things that lead to action vulgar. However, Nabil also noted that many are disappointed with the Facebook trend and other forms of communication, from mobile phone text message to the video conference.


While the Facebook does not provide commentary, but said that the government has withdrawn the rules concerning the use of the site for things connected with friends, family or the event and the issue of local and worldwide. "We have seen many people and organizations use Facebook to do anything positive." Said Facebook spokesperson, Debbie Frost.

Meanwhile, Indonesia is a secular country with a population of 235 million people, with 90 percent of them are Muslim. While Facebook is the top site that is being trend in this country, even the popularity of search engines Google and Yahoo.
