Previous prohibition on Facebook by Islamic organization in Indonesia, now Lecturer at State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Dr Abdul Halim MA, states, use of the site "facebook" is not prohibited in Islam as to the progress kemaslahatan.

"Site facebook was lawful and prohibition of friendship, the use of the site contrary to the law of Islam, because human creativity is given by Allah SWT to make use of nature and a tool for progress kemaslahatan," he said in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung (Babel), Tuesday.

He explains, technology is sunatullah and no one can menghambatnya because he will run continuously. Which is the issue she is not a tool or service facebook but people who use these tools.

"There is no prohibition of using facebook because of Permitted and pengharaman or prohibition against the facebook is a tool in the sense contrary to the teachings of Islam," said Chairman of the candidates STAIN sheik Abdurrahman Siddik Babel that.

He said that, there are a number of principles in religion should be able to keep the intellect, does not damage the religion, does not damage the property and does not damage the offspring.

He says there are scholars agree not prohibit use of the site facebook because it is beneficial rather mudharatnya and religious teaching in all things it is allowed, unless there is proof that real mengharamkannya.

"The use of the site facebook is also contrary also to the history of Isra Miraj of Prophet Muhammad SAW who teaches how to utilize technology," he said.

According to him, the negative impact of the use facebook site does not necessarily prohibit the reason for the site and become a task of the ulama and the government direct the tool into something productive.

"Facebook is a technology that can not be dihambat development and does not violate Islamic Syariat. Facebook also became a media propaganda. Facebook is to be used to a positive direction so that Facebook can become the real world that will bring many benefits," he said.
