Will Wright, the brain behind the popular game series The Sims, will leave the Electronic Arts (EA). He was pioneer a new company called Stupid Fun Club.
After more than 20 years working in the game, Will Wright will make a career change. Brain behind the popular game series such as SimCity, The Sims and Spore is decided to exit from Electronic Arts.
As quoted from Kotaku detikINET, Sabtu (11/4/2009), Wright established a new company called Stupid Fun Club. The company will concentrate on the world of entertainment, not just the game.
Although the claim will work closely with the EA and are developing ideas for the game, Stupid Fun Club, using a different approach. "We will be the company's entertainment first and then consider how to make games or television," said Wright.
Wholesaler Lifetime Achievement Award from the Game Developers Choice Awards will also confess to develop physical toys. Kotaku Wright said to want the toy more personal and relevant to children.
EA is not simply release a child emasnya. Giant game that also has investments in the Stupid Fun Club and holds the primary rights to publish games produced Stupid Fun Club.
