BUSINESS INFORMATION - Exchange rate of rupiah against the U.S. dollar in the Jakarta interbank spot market on Tuesday rose through the 10,000-per-dollar figure, because the more active market participants took off dollars.
The rupiah against the dollar-Rp9.995 rose to 10,000 per dollar compared to the previous day's closing Rp10.055-Rp10.065 or up 60 points.
Action off the big bucks that triggered the rupiah rose sharply, so the psychological limit exceeded 10,000 per dollar.
