BUSINESS INFORMATION - Financial Leaders Group of Seven (G7) will meet on October 3 in Istanbul ahead of the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank, the U.S. Treasury Department said Tuesday.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will discuss various issues, including global economic conditions and financial market stability, the finance ministers meeting and central bank governors from the G7 industrial countries on 3 October, the Finance Ministry said in a statement.
Geithner also will attend a Finance Committee meeting of the IMF and the Joint Committee on Development World Bank-IMF, each on 4-5 October.
Head of G7 finance - the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States - are meeting ahead of the annual meeting of the IMF and World Bank based in Washington, which was held in Istanbul this year.
