BUSINESS INFORMATION - PT. Garuda Indonesia denies allegations Competition Commission and Consumers Business Australia (ACCC) has made a game of air cargo industry price with a number of other foreign airlines operating in the country.
Senior General Manager of Garuda Indonesia to Australia and the Pacific Southwest, Poerwoko Soeparyono, told AFP on Thursday.

For this case, Garuda affected threatened fines if found guilty, while the ACCC would conduct "hearing" the case in Federal Court, Sydney, on October 22, 2009.

Garuda Indonesia airlines recorded as the 10th accused of playing a game ACCC price air cargo industry. So far, the total fines that the court had ordered the airlines blame the airline 41 million dollars Australian.

Eight other airlines are subject to sanctions is the British Airways PLC (was fined five million dollars), Societe Air France (three million dollars), Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij NV (three million dollars), Martinair Holland NV (five million dollars) and Cargolux Airlines International SA (five million dollars), Singapore Airlines Cargo Pte Ltd, Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. and Emirates.

Since the termination of the route of Darwin-Denpasar flight 22 April 2009, Garuda Indonesia will only operate in three major cities of Australia, namely Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.
