BUSINESS INFORMATION - PT ANZ Panin Bank (ANZ) provides credit loan facility to PT Telkomsel Rp1 trillion five-year period that will be used to support the development of Telkomsel's business in the country.

The signing of credit agreement by ANZ CEO and Managing Director Joseph Abraham Atmosutarno Sarwoto Telkomsel in Jakarta, Monday.

Joseph Abraham told the press in Jakarta, said cooperation with Telkomsel as a reflection of the belief that the potential for the telecommunications industry in Indonesia is still quite large.

Telkomsel has so far shown good financial performance. So this loan is an important milestone for ANZ in entering the telecommunications market.

Meanwhile Sarwoto Atmosutarno said, this loan facility will be used for business expansion in the country. In the midst of the current economic crisis, SingTel scored a new financial loan.

Telkomsel is currently the sixth largest mobile operator in the world with more than 78 million subscribers, or up 12 million subscribers in the first half of 2009.

Telkomsel currently owned by the shareholders of PT Telkomsel SingTel's 65 percent and 35 percent as a service provider's service leader in Indonesia, Telkomsel is believed to serve more than 77 million subscribers or approximately 50 percent of mobile users in Indonesia.

Telkomsel is the service provider with the widest network which covers 95 percent of the population of Indonesia.

While ANZ is one of the leading banks in the world and one of the largest international banks in the Asia-Pacific ANZ has assets worth 503 billion dollars in Australia on March 31, 2009
