BUSINESS INFORMATION -Several researchers have been exploring China-like dinosaur fossil with four wings of birds in northeastern China, which they suspect is the missing link in the evolution of dinosaurs into birds.

In a report in the journal "Nature", they said they found a fossil "Anchiornis huxleyi", which were well maintained and roamed the Earth about 160 million years ago, in a geological area in Liaoning province in northeast part of China.

Fossil, which has a body size of chicks, has a total length of the body is less than 50 centimeters and length of the skull with a 6 inch, pata lead researcher Xing Xu of China Academy of Sciences in Beijing by electronic mail.

"These findings indicate that the birds are probably descended from a kind of four-winged dinosaur small around 160 million years ago," said Xu.

"This is the link between more specific theropod (dinosaur wandering around with two rear body) and birds. Animals are alive at about the same age ... we expected for the ancestors of birds," he said.

In a statement, the researchers said, "Fur long closed sleeves and tails, but also legs, so that shows that the four-wing phase may exist in the transition to birds."

The transition from dinosaurs to birds still not too understood due to the lack of fossils that were well maintained, and many scientists say the dinosaur-like bird appeared very late in the fossil record as the ancestors of birds actually.

The researchers believe that China is a dinosaur fossil was similar to the oldest bird that so far reported, and older than Archaeoteryx, the earliest bird ever known.

"The existence of such species at this time in the fossil record to argue effectively the argument that the dinosaur-like bird appeared very late to be ancestors of birds," they wrote.
