BUSINESS INFORMATION - The International Monetary Fund on Thursday said it hopes to work with Turkey to play back the conversation about the program is long overdue loan "as soon as possible."

"Turkish authorities and the IMF want to reach conclusions about the program as soon as possible," said IMF spokesman David Hawley told a news conference in Washington.

Turkey, which hosted the annual meeting of IMF and World Bank at the beginning of next month, has been negotiating with the IMF for a new standby loan of three years, since the 10 billion dollars ended in May 2008.

Turkey was given a three-year IMF standby loan in 2005 to replace the three-year agreement in 2001 which has enabled Ankara to overcome the severe financial crisis.
