BUSINESS INFORMATION - Yen falls in Asian trade Thursday as selling by exporters and concerns that Japan's new government will try to reverse the free market reforms, dealers said.

Dolat thin rose to 91.13 yen in Tokyo morning trade from 90.94 yen in New York at the end of Wednesday, as quoted by AFP.

The euro was at 1.4710 dollars, approaching the highest level in nearly a year and up from 1.4708 dollars in late New York deals. The euro rose to 134.08 yen from 133.74 yen.

Traders caution a day after Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama took from the new government in the ranks of opponents of market liberalization and a former trade union activist.

In particular the choice of heading Hatoyama minister for reform and financial supervision - Shizuka Kamei 72 years - sparking fears among investors.
