BUSINESS INFORMATION - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI) has disbursed loans of about Rp22 trillion during January to August 2009 on the number of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).

Director of Institutional Business and BRI, Asmawi Syam told reporters in Bangkok, Thursday night, said the loans in the state still continues and will target approximately Rp7 trillion more will digelontorkan until the end of this year.

At least, there are four state-owned enterprises have plans of running the credit, namely Bulog, PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN), PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom), and Perum Pegadaian.

Sham Asmawi added from Rp7 trillion disbursed funds will largely be allocated to Telkom, including its subsidiary, PT Telkomsel and others.

He said the BRI is the only national bank that has a special directorate for the financing of SOEs. Provision of credit to state enterprises, are also part and follow-up of synergies which was inaugurated by state governments.

Meanwhile, total loans L / C import BRI given to PT Semen Gresik to the procurement of major equipment in the factory building in the District IV Tuban Tuban, East Java, worth Euro 33,363,647 and 10,494,360 U.S. dollars.
