"We watched miles continue," said Field Industrial Relations and Labor Welfare Office of Employee Tangerang District Monang Panjaitan told Tempo dikantornya, Thursday (27/11).

Monang said, until the current conditions of their respective companies increasingly shaky with the marked decline in production that reached 60 to 70 percent. "Continuous plunged sharply," he said. According to Monang, to 20 companies are reported to the Office of power after the Working widths of this year, precisely when the global financial crisis overwrite all sectors including industry and trade sectors. "They put efficiency, employee housing up to firing employees," he said.

TEMPO Interaktif, Tangerang:Pemerintah Kabupaten Tangerang terus memantau perkembangan dan kondisi 20 perusahaan diwilayah itu yang kini terancam bangkrut. Langkah ini dilakukan agar tidak terjadi pemutusan hubungan kerja secara massal.
”Perkembangannya terus kami pantau,” ujar Kepala Bidang Hubungan Industrial dan Kesejahteraan Pekerja Dinas Tenaga Kerja Kabupaten Tangerang Monang Panjaitan kepada Tempo dikantornya, Kamis (27/11).

Monang mengatakan, hingga saat ini kondisi masing-masing perusahaan semakin goyang dengan ditandai merosotnya produksi yang mencapai 60 hingga 70 persen. ”Terus merosot tajam," katanya. Penurunan drastis dilihat dari pengurangan produksi, sepinya order hingga efisiensi yang dilakukan perusahaan.

Menurut Monang, ke 20 perusahaan tersebut melaporkan ke Dinas tenaga Kerja setelah lebaran tahun ini, tepatnya ketika krisis keuangan global menimpa semua sektor termasuk sektor industri dan perdagangan. ”Mereka mengajukan efisiensi, perumahan karyawan hingga pemecatan karyawan,” katanya.

Dari 20 Perusahaan tersebut, kata dia, dua diantaranya telah memberhentikan karyawannya sejumlah 2.740 orang. Sementara sejumlah perusahaan lainnya ada yang telah merumahkan karyawannya.

Melihat gejolak penurunan produksi yang saat ini terjadi, Monang memperkirakan, akan ada sembilan perusahaan lagi yang akan tutup hingga akhir tahun ini.
