China's foreign exchange reserves, which is the world's largest, rose 17.8 percent (yoy) to a record high 2.1 trillion dollars at the end of June 2009, the central bank, said Wednesday.

Foreign exchange reserves grew 185.6 billion dollars in the first six months of 2009, the bank said in a statement quoted AFP.

Figures are the highest reported by the central bank, while foreign exchange reserves at the end of first quarter 2009 was 1.95 trillion dollars.

Foreign exchange reserves that country increased 42.1 billion dollars in June, 30.2 billion dollars greater rather than the same month last year, he said.
