Yahoo! reported on Tuesday, second quarter profit of 143 million U.S. dollars, beat Wall Street expectations for the company's pioneering Internet.

Yahoo! said net profit in the quarter ended June 30 is 10 cents per share, compared with nine cents per share, or 132.4 million U.S. dollars in the same period last year, so dariAFP cited.

Yahoo! reported net income for the quarter slipped to a 1.14 billion U.S. dollars from 1.35 billion U.S. dollars in the same quarter in 2008.
