Germany entered the deflation for first

BUSINESS INFORMATION - Germany entered the deflation for first time in 22 years in July, government statistics showed Wednesday, with a projected 0.6 percent decrease in price than a year ago.

Federal Statistical Office figures quoted are based on data collected from six of the 16 German states. That compared with a 0.1 percent increase year-to-year in the price in June.

Office, said in a statement that the last time the level of prices for goods and services is down in Germany in March 1987, while down 0.3 percent.

Inflation fluctuates between zero percent and -1.0 percent for the year between April 1986 and April 1987.
