French government to provide funds around Rp10 billion (690 thousand Euro / 1 million U.S. dollars) to Indonesia for the master plan public transport system integrated Bandung Metropolitan Area.

Signing the grant agreement was made Director General of Ministry of Finance debt management Rahmat Waluyanto to France and Dubes RI Philipe Zeller Building Ministry of Finance in Jakarta, Wednesday.

Smart public transportation system, known as vectors for sustainable development, pollution reduction, eradication of poverty, and improving the quality of life better.

Project goal is to arrange the mass transportation policy, strategy and planning for all transportation system in Jakarta metropolitan area, and to prepare other plans related to transportation system development such as infrastructure development, public transportation operations management, and institutional regulation.

The project will be implemented by consultants SCNF France International, under the supervision Dephub, in cooperation with the local government of West Java, and all parties of civil society began to transportation companies and professional associations. Consulting company that also involve experts from the ITB.

Assistance that is part of the "Emerging Country Facilities" (FASEP-Fond d `d` Etudes et Aide au Secteur Prive) conducted Ditjen Treasury and Economic Policy of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Employment of France.

Facility is specifically intended to provide financial assistance in the preparation of infrastructure projects related to transportation, water, services, and energy.
